Agioi Apostoli

Agioi Apostoli beach is actually a collection of 3 coves perfect for a swim close to the city center.  Frequented by many LGBT+ bathers, go for a walk between beaches in the forest when you need a break from the sun.

Baby Falassarna

Baby Falassarna (or Baby Beach) is a smaller, sheltered cove near the main Falassarna Beach. Famous for its calm, shallow, clear waters protected by rocks.  This makes it an ideal, peaceful spot offering soft sand, sunbeds, umbrellas, and a nearby cafe, contrasting with the main beach's potentially stronger waves and wind. It's easily accessible with convenient parking and offers a tranquil alternative for those seeking relaxation.

Kavros Beach

A little section of sandy beach just after the main beach at Georgioupoli. Frequented by many in our community, the location between two cities means more opportunities for exploration.

Lake Kournas

Lake Kournas is Crete's only natural freshwater lake, a scenic spot near Georgioupolis known for pedal boating, swimming, lakeside tavernas, and wildlife, especially turtles, offering a tranquil escape with mountain backdrops and a protected ecosystem. Visitors enjoy renting pedal boats (often with slides) to explore the lake, spotting turtles and ducks, and dining at waterfront cafes. It's a destination with hiking trails and clear water, making it a popular natural attraction in the Chania region.
